Established in 1980, Ellen Levine Literary Agency is one of the premier literary agencies in New York. Ellen Levine, a member of the Association of Authors' Representatives (AAR);  is joined by Sara Crowe  and three employees as support staff. 

We represent a wide variety of nonfiction and commercial and quality fiction. We are particularly interested in narrative nonfiction, biography, memoir, history, sociology, psychology, popular culture, women’s issues, science, health, business, and books by journalists.   Our fiction list encompasses thrillers, strong stories for women, multicultural fiction, and a wide range of literary fiction.

We  attend the Frankfurt Book Fair annually,  and are represented throughout the world by co-agents in Europe, South America, and Asia.  We are also active in selling the motion picture, television, audio, and first serial rights to the books we represent.
